Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day is on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Pilgrim Baptist Church.  You are invited to join us for the Sunday morning worship service at 9:00 AM.  The service will be in the sanctuary.  As a matter of fact, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the sanctuary is setup to follow the CDC social distancing guidelines.  The individuals attending will follow the ordinance.  Thus, join us in celebrating and recognizing the Grandparents in the month of September.  What is Grandparents Day? This special day was first recognized in 1978 after the United States Congress passed the legislation. The nation celebrates Grandparents Day on the second Sunday of the month of September.  At Pilgrim Baptist Church, we celebrate this day on the second Sunday too.  Hence, PBC has set aside this day to share appreciation with them. Especially who partake, keep safe, provide transportation, and care for their grandchildren daily.

During the pandemic, we are still able to Share the Word in creative ways with the members onsite, online, and in the community.  Grandparents Day is an appreciation acknowledgment for grandparents who are caregivers. Not to mention, share wisdom, love, and family history with members of the family and friends. The recognition is a mere communication tool to display outcomes of what someone has done that is special.  We are recognizing the grandparents to uplift and encourage them for helping others.  The guidance the older generation has to offer, and share is phenomenal. Thereafter, in recognizing them with an achievement, it is a way to simply say Thank You.  Join us for service to celebrate special people.
