Pilgrim Baptist Church Clergy Appreciation Day is on Sunday, October 20, 2024. You are invited to join us for the Clergy Appreciation Sunday morning worship service at 9:00 AM. The service will be in the sanctuary. As a matter of fact, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the sanctuary is setup to follow the CDC social distancing guidelines. The individuals attending will follow the ordinance. Thus, join us in celebrating and recognizing the PBC Ministerial Staff. October is Clergy Appreciation Month. What is Clergy Appreciation Day? The nation celebrates Clergy Appreciation Day on the second Sunday of the month of October. At Pilgrim Baptist Church, we celebrate this day on the third Sunday. Hence, PBC has set aside this day to share appreciation to the ministerial staff.
During the pandemic, we are still able to Share the Word in creative ways with the members onsite, online, and in the community. The ministerial staff counsels, encourages, and prays for individuals. The staff prepares lessons for Bible Study and sermons for Sunday morning. After the fact, the minister’s share outside the church walls and responds to the needs in the community. Clergy Appreciation Sunday is an appreciation acknowledgment for the servants of God’s. The recognition is a mere communication tool to display outcomes of what someone has done that is special. We are recognizing the ministerial staff to uplift and encourage them for helping others. Thereafter, in recognizing the ministerial staff with an achievement, it is a way to simply say Thank You.
