Pilgrim Baptist Church Recognition Sunday is on March 22, 2020.  You are invited to join us for the Recognition Sunday worship service at 9:00 AM.  PBC will be recognizing Rev. Dr. Cedric L. Perkins.  The theme is “My Eyes are on the Prize” Philippians 3:7-14.  Thus, join us in celebrating his 30 years preaching, 25 years pastoring, and 16 years for being Senior Pastor at PBC.  What is Recognition Sunday?  Recognition Sunday is a day set aside to share grateful appreciation to an individual who gives, shares, and responds with action.  Pastor recognition is an awesome and sincere appreciation acknowledgment to do for God’s servant. The recognition is a mere communication tool displaying the outcomes of what someone has done that is special.  Also, in recognizing the achievements of service, it is a way to say excellent job and keep up the great work.  Recognizing an employee of the church and the community leader displays the boundaries of helping others are wider than the walls of the church. 

The Fourth Sunday in March is Pastor Anniversary.  However, we will be celebrating his pastor anniversary worship service at a later date.
